The most subtle and feminine of the Beaujolais Crus. It is characterised by its finesse and velvetiness. Beautiful, elegant structure.

Terroir: The Fleurie appellation area is between Chiroubles and Morgon on granite-formed steep rugged slopes. At 340 metres above sea level the climate is semi-continental with both oceanic and Mediterranean influences. The subsoils are made up of pink granite, (90%) sand and sandy clay.
Harvest: Hand-picked
Vinification: traditional 15-day whole bunch semi-carbonic maceration in concrete vats, followed by pneumatic pressing
Maturing: in stainless steel vats
Certification: HVE3, the highest French governmental environmental certification
Robe: deep vermillion with pale mauve tints
Nose: a true explosion of fruit, lovely red berry fruit aromas including cherry and raspberry, alongside flowers like violet, iris and rose
Palate: the attack is lively and forthright, the centre palate is lip-smacking and rounded with body; the tartness and tannins are really refined, the flavours are a delight.
Serving suggestions: with roast poultry and white meat

Cellaring: between 5 and 10 years
Estate: We have been vinegrower-winemakers for 5 generations on the commune of Saint-Lager at the foot of famous Mont Brouilly, topped with its iconic chapel. We also craft; Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Morgon, Moulin à Vent and Régnié, not forgetting Beaujolais Villages as well as white, rosé and sparkling wines. Our estate gained the ultimate accolade in 2016 when our Chiroubles 2015 was awarded Best Gamay in the World (Meilleur Gamay du Monde). We care for the environment and craft organic red and white wine (PURE collection).
